Nicole Taylor wrote the film Wild Rose, which was released last year to great critical and popular acclaim. Starring Julie Walters, Jessie Buckley and Sophie Okonedo, the film won Best Writer, Best Actress and Best Feature at the Scottish BAFTA Awards, has been nominated for ten BIFA Awards and the lead actress, Jessie Buckley, has just been nominated for a BAFTA for Best Actress. Nicole also wrote the 3-part BBC One mini-series Three Girls about the Rochdale paedophile scandal, for which she won a BAFTA for Best Writer. Three Girls received an outstanding critical reception and strong public reaction when it aired, going on to win the BAFTA for Best Mini-Series. Prior to Three Girls, Nicole created a BBC One drama, The C Word, starring Sheridan Smith.
