Nanna Mailand-Mercado is responsible for original content at Viaplay. Viaplay is a Scandinavian streaming platform covering Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland, and has been around for almost a decade. In recent years, Viaplay has begun to make its own original series, with the ambition of becoming the leading broadcaster of Nordic series. The aim is to launch 20 original series by 2020, and over 80 projects are currently in development.

Nanna has been working at Viaplay since 2017. Previously, she was a producer at the Danish Film Institute, Denmark's leading public funder of film and television. She has a degree in production from the American Film Institute and worked in Los Angeles for The Mark Gordon Company as a story editor. Nanna has been active in the industry for over 25 years and has worked on films such as Breaking the Waves, Les Miserables, House of Mirth and the Oscar-winning short Election Night.
