Series B.A. - The Last Abbess
Born in 1981, Thomas Malmonte is a producer. After studying photography and cinema, he worked for several years as a camera assistant between Paris and Brussels. In 2008, he developed his first feature film, The Hunters, an English-language thriller that closed the Gérardmer festival in 2011. He then joined Titra Film, a Paris-based post-production company, where he discovered the world of animation. Since 2015 he has been working as a producer at Tant Mieux Prod alongside Delphine Maury and Emmanuel Ryz. In 2017 the company received the Procirep award for best animation producer. Together they produce the film-poem collection En sortant de l'école (France Télévisions - 8 seasons of 13x3') and the soap opera series Tobie Lolness (France Télévisions / ZDF - 13x52'). They are also developing a feature film, L'ours et l'ermite, adapted from the book by John Yeoman and Quentin Blake, and another soap opera, Vango (10x52'). More recently, they embarked on a live-action series with La dernière abbesse, a 6x52' historical mini-series.
