Jean-Pascal Zadi

Born in Bondy in 1980 to Ivorian parents, Jean-Pascal Zadi is a self-taught artist. He draws his inspiration from the world around him, as well as from his childhood spent in the Paris suburbs and Normandy. In 2006, Jean-Pascal embarked on the production of his first feature film, Cramé. This urban road movie gained a cult following among young people and established a new genre. African Gangster, followed by Sans Pudeur ni Morale, confirmed his talent as an auteur-director. In 2014, Jean-Pascal Zadi directed and presented a daily short program on Canal +'s Before: C koi les Bayes? the same year, his first detective novel Bastos à Crédit was published. He wrote and directed Season 1 of the Craignos series in 2015, to be released on Youtube in January 2019. He completes his latest feature film Les Gens Ils Croient Trop in 2019 and presents it at international festivals. In 2020, his film Tout Simplement Noir will be released in cinemas and produced by Gaumont. He is currently working on the second part of the Craignos series for France Télévision: Carrément Craignos.
