David Steiner is a French-Canadian writer-director based between Paris and Los Angeles (O1 visa). He is one of the founders of Parallell Cinema, a feature film production and technical services company based in Paris, which has produced or co-produced films selected at Sundance, TIFF and other internationally recognized festivals. His latest production is Katie Says Goodbye (88min., TIFF, Rotterdam, Deauville, Stockholm's IMPACT Award Winner, numerous other festival prizes). He has directed three short films, selected at CineQuest, Leiden, Miami, Worldfest Houston, San Jose, Richmond, St. Paul, garnering 9 nominations & 5 awards. His screenplays have been selected by the Torino Film Lab, Sources2 / FilmCamp, short-listed by Sundance/Sloan Fellowship, Sundance Development Track, and Canadian Film Centre's Director's lab, awarded 3rd place at Simon Kinberg's Screenwriting Competition, selected by the Espace Kiosque at the Aubagne Festival, invited to Nisi Masa residencies etc.
