In the week leading up to her Confirmation, Valentina, a rebellious teenager, witnesses the rejection by her village's rigid community of the sexual abuse suffered by her best friend. Disillusioned, she questions her own future position as an adult woman, while becoming aware of the underlying misogyny of those closest to her. As she attempts to turn Kresnica upside down, Valentina faces the ultimate defeat in her own home: her sister - her role model - and her father - her hero - are in an incestuous relationship.
