Ireland, United Kingdom / BBC Three - Hulu
Meet some of the creative team behind 2020's big surprise. A sweet nugget, Normal People is deciphered for Série Series Online by its producers Ed Guiney and Emma Norton, and director Lenny Abrahamson in an interview moderated by Marianne Furevold-Boland.
Based on Sally Rooney's novel of the same name and adapted by Rooney herself with Alice Birch and Mark O'Rowe, Normal People depicts the tender but complex relationship between Marianne (Daisy Edgar-Jones) and Connell (Paul Mescal), from the end of their high school years in a small town in the west of Ireland and throughout their studies at Trinity College. An already "phenomenon" series, we're delighted to see it deciphered by its team, in an exchange with one of the initiators of another phenomenal success, Skam.
